My name is Kent Weymouth, and I have been a Video Producer and Digital Artist for more than twelve years.

In 2003 I began traveling throughout California,

visiting the majestic lighthouses that grace our shore,

and photographing them with the cooperation of the

United States Coast Guard, National Parks, State Parks,

the Bureau of Land Management, City Parks,

Historical Societies and Preservation Societies.

I quickly discovered the rich history,

impressive structures and courageous individuals

of that era called out to be rediscovered.

"Lighthouses of the Golden State"

is the result of five years of work, researched at

California's Libraries, Museums,

Historical Societies, and most importantly the

United States Lighthouse Society,

using official documents, annual reports,

personal letters and diaries as primary sources.

My greatest desire has been to give you accurate information.

I created CaLights to provide you with

current information, photographs and links.

The CaLights Store will be coming soon to the website,

where fine art photography of California's Lighthouses,

National Parks, State Parks, County and City Parks,

Historical Locations and Points of Interest will be available.
